Review: Flexible Silicone Vibrating Dildo

When I received this dildo from www.tootimid.com my curiosity was piqued when I opened the package to reveal a somewhat wobbly g-spot toy. The vibrating dildo has a lot of give to it in the middle, which made me wonder if it would work for me because my g-spot is very picky about what it likes and that tends to be lots of pleasure…err pressure. So I charged it up via the included USB cable and away we went.

FlexibleDildoButtonsLit1

The very first thing I noticed as the toy was charging is that the lights on the buttons are an incredibly obnoxious shade of blue, one that would draw the eye if it was left, say charging on dresser and someone walked into the room. There would be no mistaking it for exactly what it is. So if you like a little discretion make sure this one is definitely put away before any company comes over. The upside to the bright lights is that once the toy is turned one the buttons are easy to see in a dark room (which I’m sure was the intent.)

This vibrating dildo has a slightly bulbous head with some slight ridges along it. Inside of me the ridges were absolutely unnoticeable and therefore unremarkable. The shape of the head isn’t bad but it is pretty basic as far as g-spot toys go. However, while I probably could’ve orgasmed from thrusting the head against my g-spot I found that the toy had too much flex and give to it for me to adequately thrust as hard or even as fast as I might like.

FlexibleDildoHead1

Beyond the fact that this toy and I simply aren’t compatible it is a nice looking toy. The silicone is smooth to the touch and while I can see mold lines where the toy was made I can’t feel them even running my hand over them. The ABS plastic handle is suitably shiny and reflective which is a nice touch, but with lube coated fingers can be a bit slippery. Another quality issue I noticed is that the motor in the end of toy sounds like it isn’t seated quite properly and while it doesn’t rattle around like it might break it is noticeable if you give the toy a good shake or flex. It probably isn’t a big deal and it didn’t seem to affect the toy’s performance, but I do like to be thorough.

FlexibleDildoFullLength1

It offers four patterns and three speeds that fall somewhere between rumbly and buzzy and the only one that did for me was the strongest speed, but even then the flex of the toy meant that I couldn’t get it in just the right spot to have an orgasm. Granted I tend to HATE patterns in my vibrators so the fact that they didn’t do much for isn’t surprising. Overall I’m going to have to make the call and say this one was a dud for me.Despite my lackluster experience, if you’d like to give this toy a try and perhaps enjoy it far more than I did you can find it at wwww.tootimid.com for $54.95.

Review Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibration

SatisfyerVibrationboxlogo

The instant I turned the Pro Plus Vibration on I had a feeling that this toy and I were not going to get along in the slightest. It seemed like it would be far too busy for me to focus on either aspect of the pleasure the toy should bring in order to reach an orgasm. But, being the intrepid sex toy explorer that I am, I broke out the lube and gave it my best shot.

The pressure waves alone are no different than those of any other toy in this line up and I know from using previous Satisfyer toys that I can and do orgasm from them. But I was pretty leery of the vibration. Here I am, pantsless, and I turn just the pulsations on and it feels pretty good. OK, maybe I’m gonna be wrong about this; I have been before. I waited until I was close to orgasm before turning on the vibrations and everything just, well, stopped for me. The vibrations drowned out the pressure waves and rattled me half to death it seemed and that long awaited orgasm was gone, gone, gone. It was just too much stimulation all at once and my body noped right on out of the fun.

I was actually pretty sad about this because as much as I had my misgivings I was really hoping this toy would work out and produce some earth shattering orgasms for me. So I gave it a couple days and decided to try it again. Maybe I would be wrong and this would turn out to be a better experience than my first one was.

But it wasn’t. This time I started with just the vibrations, but they were so buzzy (and seemingly annoyingly loud) to me that I just couldn’t get anywhere near an orgasm even without the pulsations. After another chance at the pulsations to almost an orgasm and turning the vibes back on only for my body to just recoil from the sensation I knew there was no way that I was getting an orgasm out of this toy. Which is a real shame as I had some high hopes that this would be something amazing with the right combination of pulsing and vibrations.

SatisfyerwithVibrationButtons
Buttons with charger magnets at the bottoms

However, there are some good things I can say about the Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibration. The ergonomics of the toy are fantastic and the buttons were placed perfectly. No fighting, no fiddling, and no fumbling around in the dark. It helps that the toy itself lights up pretty brightly so you can see somewhat as well. And another good thing is that the “annoyingly loud buzziness” isn’t nearly as loud as I thought it was. I couldn’t hear the toy from the next room. And for those of you who enjoy a little bath time fun, the Satisfyer Pro Plus Vibration is waterproof, but please make sure to use water based lubricant with it.

So for me this toy was an absolute dud. No go. But if you’re interested in a Satisfyer toy that brings a little something extra to the table besides just the pulsations then this just might be the one for you. You can find it at Peepshow Toys for $69.95 or you can check your favorite body safe sex toy retailer. Or, just for my readers you can checkout at the Satisfyer website with a special code “livvy25” to get a 25% discount. This offer is only valid in the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Offer ends April 2nd.

Review: Tantus Goliath Super Soft

GoliathSSBox
New in box. So pretty!

Upon seeing my newest Tantus toy, the Goliath Super Soft (not to be mistaken for the original Goliath mind you), I was immediately intrigued by the gorgeous shade of copper. It was so different from the standard pink, purple, or black that I was in love with it immediately, even before I finished opening the package. Once I removed it and got to feel how delightfully soft and squishy the Super Soft silicone is I knew that this was going to be a fun toy.

GoliathSS1

As usual, Tantus did not disappointment. With an insertable length of about 7 inches and a diameter of 1 and ¾ quarters of an inch this isn’t exactly a small toy, but I didn’t feel like it was too big either, perhaps because of the softer silicone. To give you an example of just how soft the silicone used in making the Super Soft line of toys is, I can take my Goliath and bend it in half, compress it several millimeters, and wobble it back and forth like crazy and it just returns to its original, textured shape. And it definitely has some texture, from the pronounced ridge on the head to the thick veins running along the shaft it seems like texture could be the Goliath’s middle name.

GoliathSSTexture
So much texture…lovely.

In terms of performance, the Goliath Super Soft is amazing. Feeling that ridge pop as it slides into my vagina is fantastic and makes me want to feel it over and over again; then the texture of the veins kick in. Nice, slow strokes really let me feel the veins which is delightful. All of the texture makes for an absolutely lovely sensation and because the silicone is squishier it feels like I can take the toy deeper without having any trouble with it being too hard and causing it to bump uncomfortably inside of me.

To me though, this toy really shines when playing with a partner because they don’t have to be so concerned about going too hard or too fast because the silicone is so soft and squishy. I know my partner appreciated this. The only complaints that we’ve had so far is because of the squish in the base the Goliath Super Soft can be a little harder to hold on to as it just kind of wants to slip from your (water based) lubricant covered grasp and that it can get dirt and hair stuck to it if you don’t have a bag or store it in the box. I usually give my toys a quick wash or wipe down before using them so that’s not a deal breaker for me.

GoliathSSHead
The amazing head that gives you that nice “pop” feeling I mentioned earlier

Otherwise I felt like this was a great, fun dildo to use alone or with a partner and because of the softness and texture it really appeals to me in a way that some of my harder dildos don’t because of the differences in material. It is certainly a toy that I will keep reaching for (and keeping having orgasms with!) As with all of my experience with Tantus products this one is of incredibly high quality and is designed to last. If you’d like to pick up a Goliath Super Soft you can find it at the Tantus website for $89.99 or shop your favorite body safe sex toy retailer.

Review: Satisfyer Whale

SatisfyerWhaleBox

Whale? Really? I was pretty underwhelmed at the Satisfyer Whale the instant I saw it in person, but the name is what really got to me. From an aesthetic standpoint I get the name, but from a marketing angle it makes zero sense to me. I definitely wish this toy had a better name. That said, it is cute and does kind of remind me of a humpback whale so maybe the name did its job. But I still don’t see how it relates to a sex toy. Just my thoughts.

SatisfyerWhaleCloseup

Moving on, the Whale is designed to be a waterproof, wearable vibrator that can be used during penetrative sex. Made from ABS and a nice smooth silicone it is both body safe and easy to clean. The Whale takes roughly two hours to get to a full charge, though the manual says the first charge could take up to eight hours, and it has a magnetic charger that is simple to use and not at all fussy just like the rest of the Satisfyer line-up. It has ten vibration speeds and patterns, comes in at three inches on the top arm and 2 and a half inches on the bottom. There are motors in each arm to provide direct clitoral and vaginal (G-spot) stimulation. To me the motors provided a vibration that was somewhere between buzzy at the low end to a bit rumbly on some of the settings, but nothing close to the rumbliness that I typically prefer. Overall though the vibrations weren’t terrible and I can see using this toy as a teaser while watching or reading some porn.

SatisfyerWhalePacking

Upon trying it out, my partner declared it to be painful and uncomfortable and without it being held in place it would slide right out anytime they moved. Not exactly the things one is looking for in a wearable vibrator. It was also difficult trying to get the outer arm situated so that it provided direct stimulation to my clit, but I think this is very anatomy dependent and might work better for someone with smaller labia. I decided to try this toy out with a dildo (the Tantus Echo Handle for the curious) to see how it would work when it wasn’t causing someone else physical pain. Turns out, that unless I held the Whale in place it slipped right out again which didn’t really surprise me, although I did have a surprisingly pleasant orgasm using the Whale with a dildo. So if you don’t mind holding it in place it can be a stellar toy. I’m wondering if perhaps, as a plus size woman, this toy simply isn’t the right shape for my anatomy overall and perhaps that contributed to my having to hold it in place.

My final impressions were far better than my first as I expected little to nothing from this toy in the game of orgasms, but I was quite surprised, even if my use case wasn’t exactly as advertised. It reached the goal of it giving me an orgasm, it functions as designed, and is a well made toy overall. If you’re interested in picking one of these up, Peepshow Toys carries them for $49.95 or you can shop your favorite body safe sex toy retailer.

Review: The Screaming O Charged Positive

ChargedO1

I read a review of the Charged Positive comparing it to the We-Vibe Tango (which I haven’t tried, but would love to compare) and knew then that I had to test it out. Luckily, I acquired a Charged Positive shortly thereafter in a contest and have been loving it ever since.

The Charged Positive is a small bullet vibrator with twenty different patterns and sensations.

ChargedPos3

The ScreamingO website indicates that it has a unique low-pitched motor; I feel that the motor is certainly of a lower frequency than that of any other vibrator I have tried to date and I absolutely love the feelings it causes. I’ve never encountered a vibe that could get me off without some other kind of stimulation to go with it, but this one certainly can! Most of the pulsating and patterns don’t do much for me, other than tease, but the first two steady settings are just wow. If you like rumbly vibes and don’t want to shell out for a Tango, this might be a good bet for you.

Aesthetically, I found it quite pleasing especially because I had the option to get it in a nice soft grey.

ChargedPos4

I thought that was the coolest since most companies seem to offer toys in the same boring pinks, purples, and blues. It is also a very smooth to the touch toy as it is made of ABS plastic which is covered in a polyurethane coating; it is also latex and phthalate free. The slightly angled tip gives it a nice tapered look, but still provides for excellent clitoral stimulation in a pinpoint way.

The Charged Positive has some special features that are worth mentioning as well. It does come with a USB charging cable, although it is a propriety cable and not a standard USB. That’s not really a big deal unless you’re like me and sometimes misplace cords or forget what toy they go with. The toy itself is also marketed as being 100% waterproof so it should be good for some bath time fun and a breeze to clean as well. It also comes with a handy holder that helps protect the vibrator while charging and the packaging says you can also use the charging stand as a way to hold onto the vibe while it is in use. I tried that and it felt really awkward and uncomfortable to use that way. I just hold it in my hand.

ChargedPos1

Speaking of hands, this isn’t a vibrator that leaves my hands numb or tingly after use, although it can leave them somewhat warm as the toy can heat up surprisingly quickly, This may be a downside or it might not bother you depending on how long you are using the Charged Positive. It has up to a sixty minute battery life on one charge and does charge fairly quickly so if you’re looking to use it later in the day, you can plug it in that morning and it will be all ready to go by the time you’re all ready to go. One thing about the Charged Positive that is frustrating to me is the way you cycle through the patterns. It only has one button and you have to cycle through all twenty patterns to find the one you want and if you should bump that button (which is a bit stiff) you’ll need to rotate through every pattern again.

The Screaming O Charged Positive has its ups and downs, but overall it is a great little vibrator and one that has already seen plenty of use in my bedroom. I expect it will continue to do so. If you’re looking for something small and rumbly this is definitely a good choice for that. You can find the Charged Positive at Screaming O’s website for $59.95 or you can check your favorite body safe sex toy retailer if you’re too impatient to wait for shipping.

Review: Satisfyer 2

The Satisfyer 2 is one of the original models in the Satisfyer line. Unlike the Pro Penguin and the Pro 2, it is battery powered (it takes two triple AA batteries) and the use of the batteries as opposed to the magnetic charging seems to make the device a tiny bit more powerful than the other models. It is no more than a very slight difference however so if you prefer the charging models to spending money on batteries, well I don’t blame you.

I didn’t find it quite as aesthetically pleasing as the Pro 2 model but the Satisfyer 2 is white with rose gold trim and buttons and is a functional if not terribly ergonomic seeming toy. Rather than the curved handles on both the Pro 2 and the Pro Penguin, the handle is straight and rather long. I found the long handle to be rather useful so I could angle it to hold the toy steady with plenty of reach to do so. The power and control buttons are on the back and I think that of the three toys I’ve reviewed they have the best placement and are easy to reach with your thumb or the fingers of your other hand. The buttons also let you cycle up and down through the 11 pulsation modes without having to go all the way down and then back up as with newer models.

If you’re unfamiliar with the Satisfyer line I will point out that this toy isn’t a vibrator, but an air pulsating toy that for some can be really intense and for others can be quite stimulating. Playing with the different settings is always fun to find out which ones are not quite enough, which is just right and what is too much to handle. I had a decent experience with the Satisfyer 2, but by far my favorite model is still the Satisfyer Pro 2, which I have already reviewed.

Like with other Satisfyer models this one is also supposed to be waterproof, but based on my previous reviews (here and here) I suggest caution when using them in water as some people have had problems with the toys breaking and dying completely after being used in water. I was lucky when I tried the Pro 2 in the bath that nothing happened, but due to my concerns about the water being a hazard I can’t tell you how my Satisfyer 2 acted in the water. I will say it’s great out of the water and that works for me!

It is hard for me to say that I was super impressed by the Satisfyer 2 because the Satisfyer Pro 2 immediately spoiled me to mind blowingly relaxed orgasms that were absolutely zero effort. However, with that in mind, the Satisfyer 2 did get me off and I wasn’t disappointed in the toy. I definitely feel like it has some better functionality than the Pro 2 and the Pro Penguin, the most noticeable being the button placement, especially as compared to the buttons of the Pro Penguin, which I found to be pretty awkward to use. The silicone nozzle on the Satisfyer 2 is slightly differently shaped than on either of the other two models, both of which have distinctly different shapes as well. It is nearly completely round and I did have some difficulty getting it situated on my clit, but I think that had more to do with the way my anatomy is shaped rather than a defect in the toy.

Overall, I enjoyed playing with the Satisfyer 2 for my review and it was, as most reviews are, a, shall I say, pleasant experience. Because of the longer handle on this toy, it may be more suitable for plus sized people as well as those with mobility issues in their hands, arms, or wrists. You can find the Satisfyer 2 at Peepshow Toys for $35.00 or from your favorite body safe sex toy retailer.

Review: Satisfyer Pro 2

Ever since the Satisfyer Pro 2 hit the market I had been DYING to get my hands on one of these toys. I’d heard so many good things about the Womanizer (which I have not tried) that when a lower cost option came out I was practically drooling over it.

The outer packing on the box was simple and unassuming and there was no hint as to what was inside. Also, coming from Germany the package arrived very quickly (roughly 3 business days) to me in the U.S. One thing that my partner noticed that we both really liked about the packaging is that it was sealed with a “Hygiene Seal” sticker. Obviously if the seal has been broken then perhaps the toy has been compromised, but basically it seems to act simply as a protection measure against tampering. I still found it to be a very good idea. Inside the box the toy was nestled in a protective bit of plastic and included a USB capable magnetic charger (the magnets for the charger are on the bottom of the toy) and the instructions. The instructions go over the general usage of the toy and include all the pertinent warnings. They also state that 2.5 hours of charge time will give you 30 minutes of play time. I wasn’t initially impressed by this assessment, but in my estimation of the time I’ve spent playing with the Satisfyer Pro 2 I’ve gotten more than 30 minutes of play out of the toy on a single charge. Given how much fun I’ve been having with it I’m going to call that a huge plus.

The Satisfyer Pro 2 is not a vibrator. Instead it works through steady pulsations and pressure waves that are supposed to mimic the feeling of having your clit sucked on. For me, that’s not really what it felt like, but it still felt fantastic in a deep rumbly kind of way. It has 11 different speeds starting from just barely there to almost buzzy at the top end. I prefer speeds 4 through 6 in order to get off, as they seem to be the most rumbly ones. And holy wow do I get off. The first time I tried it I ramped up the intensity pretty quickly and within probably 2 minutes I had soaked my bed, not once, but twice (Note: put a towel down next time)! The sensation was incredibly novel and very titillating at the same time. I was actually really surprised at my reaction because these weren’t my usual thrash across the bed orgasms, but very sudden and deep ones that rocked me to my core without making me feel utterly exhausted. I was sold. Every time I have played with it since that same sensation has come over me and the orgasms have been intense. I tried it with my partner while they fisted me and it was an interesting feeling to be full and have those pulsations, but not mind blowing. I think I almost prefer this one as a solo, just for me toy.

Satisfyer claims that this toy is waterproof and I had no trouble when I tried it in the bath (except for the contortions required to reach my clit in my tiny bath tub), but I’ve seen on Twitter where other bloggers, have had major issues with there being damage to their Satisyfers when using them in water (everything from turning themselves on at random, to getting into the entire unit and basically ruining the toy) so your mileage may vary on this one and caution is worth exercising. I’m not a big fan of sex play in the bath or shower so it hasn’t been a problem for me and I haven’t experienced these particular issues. But it may be a big deal for some of you. I found that the ABS plastic body is easy to clean with a good wipe down and the silicone head can be popped off to wash it. Again, I’ve never had a bit of trouble, but I only played with my Pro 2 in the bath once for a very short time.

The design of the Satisfyer Pro 2 is fairly ergonomic and because it has a bit of length in the handle it works well for me because my belly and breasts tend to get in the way otherwise (yes I’m a fat sex blogger ya’ll). I do have to hold the toy at a bit of an angle to get a good seal against my clit, but it doesn’t cause me any problems. The buttons are located on the back of the toy with the power button below and the control button up top.

SatPro1

One thing about the controls is that you have to cycle back down through all of the previous settings. Some people are driven nuts by this, but it doesn’t really bother me, probably because, like I said, I prefer settings 4 through 6 and rarely go any higher than that.

Overall, I feel like this is an excellent toy, one that will remain in my regular rotation for a long time. It is lightweight but feels well made and I’ve had zero issues with mine since I received it. You can find the Satisfyer Pro 2 at SheVibe.com for $59.99 or at your favorite body safe sex toy retailer.
